In the near future, manufacturers will show at least four top smartphones with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip. One of them will be RedMagic 7, which promises to be a gaming monster and benchmark crush.
The Redmagic brand (gaming arm of Nubia) is not giving up trying to conquer the smartphone market for players and is preparing another model from the gaming line – RedMagic 7 Powerful Gaming Smartphone. The device has recently appeared in the Geekbench benchmark and TENAA data. Now it has come to the US FCC, which has revealed new data about this model.

The information collected shows that RedMagic 7 is a flagship smartphone with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, which is an obvious choice in flagship equipment for players. The Geekbench test shows that the smartphone will receive as much as 18 GB of RAM, although there will also be a “modest” variant with 12 GB, which is confirmed by the FCC, as well as the basic 8 GB. The memory will be available in 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB variants.
What else will we find in the upcoming Redmagic 7 gaming smartphone
Such power should provide not only great results in benchmarks, but also the highest comfort in games, which can be enjoyed on a large OLED screen with a diagonal of 6.8 inches, Full HD + resolution with a 165 Hz image refresh rate.
The battery in RedMagic 7 is to have a size of 4380 mAh – there will be two cells with a capacity of 2190 mAh. This is not very large capacity, but a certain advantage is to be fast charging 65 W. Interestingly, in one of the certification listings there was a mention of even faster charging as much as 165 W. This is not a mistake – because this variant has a slightly different code number than the disclosed one by TENAA and FCC, it was assumed that this is a version aimed only at the Chinese market. In addition, the smartphone will receive a triple camera with a main matrix of 64 Mpix and a front 8 Mpix.
Nubia RedMagic 7 will come out immediately with Android 12. The release date is not yet known, but it is expected to happen soon.
